inspiration workshop {dinning room}

Today I am linking up with Gussy Sews for another wonderful Inspiration Workshop!

This week's prompt is DINNING ROOM.

Our dinning room is where we gather for every dinner.  I grew up eating my dinners around the kitchen table and I hope to carry on that tradition with my own family.  There is something that warms my heart about gathering around the table at the end of a long day.

There is nothing fancy about our dinning room.  We have a solid oak table top with a metal base... it's more 80's than retro.  The table was a garage sale find that my dad re-finished.  It has served it's purpose well.  Not only are meals served at the table... lesson plans are written, homework has been completed, art projects created, blog posts written, pictures edited, baby baths given... it often serves as the hub of our home.

I have been dreaming about re-doing our dinning room.  I would love for it be warm and cozy.  A place that draws people to pull up a chair and chat.  A place to serve meals to our extended family and friends.

Here are a few dinning rooms that are inspiring me...

I love the round table.  The painted brick wall.  The simple art and decorations.

I love the farm house feel to this dinning room.  I love the color pallet of simple white, cream, and light wood.

 I am in love with the rustic table and chandelier.  Simple yet beautiful.

What do you love about your dinning room?  What would you want to change or add to your space?
