My sweet Kate,

It is so hard to believe another year has gone by and today you are a proud four year old. I can still vividly remember the first moments, hours, days of your precious life.  You are such a blessing and joy to both your daddy and me.  You make us laugh with your crazy dance moves and your imagination blows us away.

This year you have grown so much!  You know all your letters, you can write your name, daddy, and mommy.  I am sure you could write more words if I took the time to teach you.  You have a strong passion about life.  You know what you want and you will do anything to get it.  This will serve you well one day.  You also love books.  You cannot wait to to be able to read your collection of books to yourself.  I hope you continue to carry this passion and love for reading with you your whole life.  You love to learn.  You want to know all about the world and why things are the way they are.  You get frustrated when I don't have all the answers.  I hope you carry your love for learning with you your whole life as well.
Oh sweet girl, if I only I can stop time and bottle up all these moments.  I cling to these moments and this stage you are in.  I want to remember it all.  I want to enjoy it all too.  It seems that before I know it you will be out the door and on your way to college.  My baby will be just a memory...

Kate, when you read this letter years from now, please know that I always, always, love you.  I love you in the frustrating moments.  I love you in the embarrassing moments.  I love you when I don't know what to do anymore.  I love you when you don't want to go to bed and you just want me to read you one more book.  I love you when you are running away from me in a store.  I love you when you are having a complete melt down. I love you when you are peacefully sleeping all snuggled up next to me.  I will always love you no matter what.  I promise.

On this day, your fourth birthday, I wish you another year of happiness and joy.  I can't wait to see you grow in new ways.  I can't wait for you to try new adventures and tasks.  I can't wait for you to conquer your next biggest obstacle.

Tonight when you blow out your four candles on your cupcake my heart will swell with joy and emotion.  My heart will be full, a new year will begin, and you will be FOUR!

I love you sweet girl!

more love than you will ever know, mommy

Today I am linking up with Jeannett for another InstaFriday.
InstaFriday was created to share those everyday moments you capture on your cell phone camera.

I love using the Instagram App and capturing random, fun, moments from my day.  You can follow me on Instagram at lifewithkate.

It has been a while since I have done an InstaFriday post.  Here are a few of my favorites from the past month...

Kate's first overdue library book.
It got buried under a pile of other books.
It cost us a whole $1.20.

This poor girl has been sick three times in the past month.
She is such a trouper and does her breathing treatments without any trouble.

"Reading" me a story while waiting to pick up a new inhaler.

This has become a familiar view again.
Coffee, Laptop, Notes
I am crazy and decided to take two online classes.

This girl cracks me up.
She somehow managed to get herself stuck in the back of her doll stroller.
She was very thankful to be rescued.

A German Chocolate Brownie from a local bakery.
It was to die for!

Kate put her feet in the ocean for the first time at the end of December.
She loved it.  She did not want to leave.  I don't blame her.

I feel so lucky and blessed to own this phone.

In January, we had an assessment day where each of my students comes in for a quick 15 minute reading assessment called DIBELS.
They all read the same three stories.
I am thankful I won't have to hear those stories again until next year.

Don't you wish you looked this good when you had the stomach flu?
(Her darling headband is made my dear friend, Jami! Isn't it amazing?!?)

Beautiful Colorado sunrise!

Two questions for you today...

What programs/software do you use to make simple picture collages?

What moments have you captured on your cell phone lately?
